About Lucyna A M Green
Since moving from Minnesota, where everything goes dormant for 6 months out of the year, to Texas and then to Mexico Beach , where almost nothing does, change has become a common word in my vocabulary. Straying from my roots geographically, and surviving it, encouraged me to take a chance creatively as well. From the structure and conditions of graphic design and illustration for publishing and print advertising, I embraced the free spirit of fine art. I chose "nature" as a common element for three very distinctive styles of expression. The first, a traditional approach, resulted in cut-paper illustrations of florals and creatures. The second, an electronic approach, yielded hundreds of digital portraits that I call the "PhotoArt Collection". The latest addition contains renderings in pastel and marker, using the PhotoArt images as reference.
All three styles speak to my awe of nature in its various forms, my love of color, texture and balance and the incomparable freedom of taking a work of art from conception to its final form. I am very pleased to share these delectable fruits of my joyful labor.
